United We Stand — Flying Aces Magazine Pulp Print

Published during the golden age of aviation magazines, Flying Aces combined factual aviation features, model-building projects and action fiction in a single issue. Edited by A. A. Wyn and published by Magazine Publishers, Inc., this 80-page issue featured Glenn L. Martin’s “Coming: 250,000-Pound Flying Boats,” William H. Randall’s “So You Want to Be a Dive Bomber Pilot!” and Donald E. Keyhoe’s Richard Knight story “Wrath of the Reapers,” along with additional aviation and model-building material.

Alex Schomburg’s cover illustration presents a monumental American flag above a darkened industrial skyline as wave after wave of aircraft silhouettes fills the blue and gold sky. The enormous red Flying Aces masthead and “United We Stand!” banner turn the composition into a bold statement of wartime unity, industrial strength and American air power.

This reproduction is prepared from a restored, high-resolution scan. The artwork has been carefully cleaned and color-balanced while retaining the printed texture, softened colors, age marks and period character of the original magazine cover. It is centered within a warm cream border for a presentation that complements the aged artwork.
