Directed by Dell Henderson and produced by Hunt Stromberg, The Bad Lands stars Carey as Patrick Angus O’Toole, an unconventional cavalry sergeant assigned to uncover a smuggling operation at Fort Sumner. The story combines frontier action, military intrigue, romance and betrayal as O’Toole confronts both an attack on the fort and a corrupt officer attempting to frame him for robbery.

The slide presents Carey in a fringed Western jacket and broad-brimmed hat, standing confidently with his arms crossed against a desert landscape of open sky, rocky terrain and cacti. Stylized turquoise title lettering contrasts with the deep black background, while warm cream lettering identifies Hunt Stromberg and Harry Carey.
